watchful1 day(s) ago Good morning, GratefulOne! It's possible that the "laundry room" might actually be an unpermitted Accessory Dwelling Unit/ Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU/JADU) under construction. If it was me, I'd request that Building & Safety look into this matter.
While ADUs themselves are not technically illegal, many owners don't want the hassle of creating safe living quarters, paying additional fees, reporting rental income, etc. And when owners are THAT negligent, they're often also careless about who they rent to.
