Dave™8 minute(s) ago I can confirm there will be no CSD trash pickup up tomorrow.
SaveSanG10 minute(s) ago Nope, they DON"T have more important things to do. They have people dedicated (or are supposed to) to public information. Public property is burning, public lands are burning and public funds are being expended. The entire post 9/11 (sad timing) cash cow that went from the feds to the locals included massive amounts of funding for prepping agencies for mass incidents. That briefing isn't an "extra" they are quite literally required to do them. It's part and parcel of every agency for 15+ years now. I'm glad to see the ball has been picked up.
MrsBearendipity18 minute(s) ago SaveSanG, my husband and I said the same. Concise, to the point and in layman’s terms. I realize the fire department has far more critical things to address, but I’m wondering if this same guy will do another update tomorrow.

SaveSanG29 minute(s) ago THAT is a wildland fire briefing. Thanks for the link. That should be happening twice a day on this thing since about day 2 or 3 at most.

yesstiles36 minute(s) ago Why have there been zero updates today on the progression of the fire out of Bear Creek and into the Bluff Mesa area?
MrsBearendipity43 minute(s) ago BrownBear, hang in there. That’s a lot to handle 😞
MrsBearendipity44 minute(s) ago Doo, that’s it!!! Thank you. I was going to try and paste the link but technology hates me. Thank you so much. It’s an enlightening presentation ( well, at least for me).
BrownBear46 minute(s) ago Correction the pics I saw were from higher up not the desert floor. But evac area is stil expanded east.

Nitro_James1 hour(s) ago @Boots, I believe he's just talking about the type of fuel that is available to the fire in that area and the valley from what I have seen with weed abatement's, which are all required to be cut/thinned/removed on a typical residential property due to their high flammability and thermal output when burned. He's also stating that the FD is spread thin with over 4.3bn sq/ft(Line, Bridge, Airport) burned or burning in a 100 mi radius. To evac when told to and to not leave running water on because the small hose spigot loss of pressure is greater than the effectiveness of trying to wet your property versus allowing the FD to have all of the pressure when fighting in critical areas off of the same water supply.
