Hi Craig! Is there any way that BVES could provide real-time information directly to the SCM feed? They are too slow with updates on their page/site (in this morning's case, 2 hours behind).

BVES UPDATE:
Update 9:15 a.m.: Power has now been restored to a majority of homes in this area. A small number of homes remain out, and our crews are currently working on that issue.

Also making life in Big Bear fun today is that CalTrans is repaving a big section of BB Blvd. CHP is pulling over anyone attempting to make left turns despite there not being any signs stating that you can't. Definitely a day to avoid the Blvd if you can.

Outage only seems to be affecting the west end of town. Everything on the other side of the village appears to have power. Saw a BVES crew outside of Big Bear Frontier working on something.

Amazing that any company, such as BVES, uses Facebook to communicate. They have a website and have all of our contact info; how about using that?

Check Facebook? How? I've been banned by Facebook and they will not respond when I ask why! I suppose I could try again under a different name. Has anybody else had this type of experience?

And no, I refuse to check the BVES Facebook page throughout the day, as they so brilliantly recommend.

Bear Valley Electric has no "bulletins" regarding this morning's outage. Seems as though they're all-too-frequently caught with their pants down. Morons.

It's becoming a little irritating that the power goes off at Red Ant Landing frequently in the morning. I wouldn't mind so much if it was later in the day.
